What are Headphones?
Headphones are electronic listening devices worn on the head close to the ears. They are connected to an audio source such as a stereo system. MP3 player, mobile phone, LCD TV, computer etc. Headphones are becoming increasingly popular among people who like to listen to their choice of music without disturbing or being disturbed by others. There is an emerging trend among young people who enjoy music 'on-the-go' to get the best sound from their MP3 players and mobile phone by buying a pair of high quality headphones.

What are the different types of headphones?
There are two main types of headphones - closed and open.
Closed Headphones are better for outdoors or other noisy environments.They isolate you from outside noise and prevent headphone sound from leaking, so that other people are not disturbed.
Open Headphones have perforated earcups, which allow you to hear what is around you and are better for general use in quiet environments like your home.

What are the different wearing styles in headphones?
There are three wearing styles:
Circumaural : (On the Ear) headphones that completely surround the ears.
Supra-Aural : (Over the Ear) headphones that are worn on the external ear.
Intra-aural : (In the Ear) phones that are directly inserted into the ear canal.

Consider the following points before buying your headphones:
Usage: You might use headphones for casual, on-the-go listening or, if you're an audiophile, you might use them with high-end systems. You need to decide what you primary use is going to be.
Comfort: The main thing you need to look for is comfort. Weight, wearing-style, ear material, ear-cups and cord length all play a role here.
Sound quality: Headphones differ in sound quality. If you're looking for the purest acoustical experience, be prepared to pay for it.
Environment: Where you'll be using headphones is just as important. Ear buds are ideal for sports and running, noise-canceling headphones are best in planes.
Healthy Listening: Everyone uses headphones nowadays - while traveling, enjoying music on mobile phones or MP3 players, or even while watching a movie at night. Keep these tips in mind to keep your ears safe.

How loud?
Don't listen at more than 70% of the maximum volume if you use your headphones all day, or more than 80% of the volume if you use them for an hour or so. The lower you can keep the volume, the better.
Don't use them to drown out noise!
If you're in a noisy environment, you shouldn't turn up the volume on your headphones to drown out noise. Instead get a pair of closed-ear or noise canceling headphones.

Why should I buy Sennheiser products from the online store?

Am I buying directly from Sennheiser India?
Sennheiser India has appointed NDSL as the authorized online distributor for Sennheiser products. You will get a bill from NDSL and your credit card charge will be also in the name of NDSL or Net Distribution Services.

Can I place the order online and pick up my order from your Store which is nearest to me?
You cannot place the order online and collect from the store. All orders placed online will be sent directly to the shipping address mentioned while placing the order.

CANCELLATION AND RETURNS

Can I change my order once it has been placed?
We don't accept changes in the order once they are placed. However If changes are communicated within 24 hours, we might be able to make the change in the order or the address of delivery. These changes are at the sole discretion of Net Distribution Services.

Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled within 4 Hours of placing the order. To cancel your order, please send us an email us on our contact us page or call us on 022-40174610 with your name, order number, order date and your mobile number. Our team will call you and confirm the cancellation.

When and how will get my refund in case of cancellation or product return?
Refunds are credited back to the same instrument which was debited. The process generally takes 7-14 working days depending on the bank and the gateway.
Sennheiser India does not have influence on the time lines except processing the refund. The refund will be credited back between 7-14 days after the processing or until your next billing cycle in case it's a credit card.
You will receive email intimation from Sennheiser India about the processing of refund. You will need to then contact your bank or credit card issuer for refund status.

What is your exchange policy?
Once products are delivered to you as per the original order, there is no refund or exchange possible. In case there is a manufacturing defect, then the product can be exchanged. In case of a manufacturing defect, please contact customer service within 48 hours from the time the product/s has been delivered to you.

What if products ordered by me are out of stock?
All products shown on the web store are products in stock. In an exceptional case where the product ordered by you is out of stock, the same will be communicated to you within 72 hours and a refund will be processed immediately in case you wish to cancel the order.

What are the payment options that I can avail of while placing an order?

Payments are accepted through certified third party payment gateways. Currently all Visa and Master Credit cards will be accepted.

How do I know that my credit/ debit card payment is safe?

Can I pay through Net banking? What is the procedure?
Yes, one can pay through net banking. You need to select net banking as an option on the checkout page and you will be redirected to the payment gateway. You will need to select net banking and the bank you wish to pay from and make the payment.

Does Sennheiser offer an EMI option?
Yes, we offer an EMI option for ICICI Bank , Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra and IndusInd Bank Credit Cards only for orders above Rs.3000/-. Kindly confirm the terms of conditions of EMI with your concerned bank before availing this option.

Where all does Sennheiser India deliver?
We deliver across the country to over 12000 Pin codes. These deliveries are made through reputed courier companies. Since there is a constant addition of pin codes, the exact number might vary from time to time.

What is the delivery timeline or my order?
The general delivery timeline is 5 to 8 business days (metro cities) and 8 to 12 business days (non metro cities) depending on the delivery address pin code.

How will I know whether I can get delivery in the areas that I live?
Deliveries are made through third party courier companies. All deliverable pin codes are pre populated in the backend.
Serviceable pin code (area) can be checked on the checkout page while filling in your delivery information.
In case the pin code (area) you live in is not a part of the serviceable list, an error message will be displayed.

Is there a charge for delivery?
There is a minimal fee of Rs.50 for orders up to Rs.699. Delivery is free for all orders above Rs.699 across the country.

What if I'm not home to receive my order?
We use 3rd party courier companies for deliveries. Most Courier companies generally attempt 3 times to deliver the products. They also leave a note for a call back in case the door is unanswered The courier company itself may leave an intimation for you or may call you to check for a time convenient to deliver, in case they don't find you at home. Please contact the courier company and the earliest and give them a delivery time that will suit your schedule.
